I have not written in a long time. Much too long if you ask me. I cannot fully tell what has happened between my last post and now, but I can give snipits.
#1. Probably the most important piece of information is that I am with child. That's right--I'm PREGGO!!! I am due on April 8th, and I am FINALLY out of the morning sickness phase. I still have some gagging problems early in the morning (I know...TMI), but they're manageable. I will find out the sex of my second little one around Thanksgiving.
#2. My first little one is no longer little. He is SO tall and SO grown up. He is getting even more and more independent as each day passes. Today, he asked his daddy to help him vacuum his toy room. Daddy walked in and saw there was no room to do this since toys were all over the floor. He told my not-so-little-one that his toys had to be cleaned up first. The smaller version said ok, and proceeded to clean up his entire toy room all by himself. And I mean REALLY clean. He didn't just shove all his toys into the closet. He really put them in their correct places. It was incredible!
#3. I'm letting go of my bitterness towards D. Maybe he lied to me. Maybe it was all a scam. Maybe it wasn't. I am realizing that it really does not matter. I am happy. He is happy. What is there to be upset about?
#4. Work is going well. I'm working too much, but isn't that the typical life of a teacher? Once this 18 day rotation I'm in now is over, though, the last one will be so simple, because I'm teaching the same two courses again. So everything will be planned out--no new surprises. That shall be spectacular. I tell myself I will plan over Christmas break to alleviate some stress when returning to work in January, but I also giggle whenever I say it out loud. We all know that it won't happen.
$5. The house is starting to look more like ours and not some hillbillies' sanctuary. The guest bathroom is complete remolded, thanks to my husband, his hard work, and his new work schedule. The lucky bastard only has to work 4 days a week now, and has every Friday off. But hey, I'm benefiting from it. The bathroom is gorgeous, and I didn't have to lift a finger!
#6. Halloween is coming up. We had fun searching for a pumpkin at the patch a few weekends ago. The little one loved all the games they had available, especially the gigantic hay stack that he could run up and then bounce down. Who needs video games when you have hay?
#7. Speaking of video games: I got a Wii for my birthday!!! I know, I'm spoiled. But I'm also worth every penny. Just ask any guy who's ever dated me. =P Man, that was egotistical. Eh, but true!
#8. Had a great time with friends last weekend celebrating my bday and Sunshine's bday. I don't spend enough time with them. They are great gals, and I wish we lived closer.
#9. Went on a car cruise last weekend. Never done that before. My husband recently bought himself a 350Z convertible, and he joined a "Z" club. I know--completely dorky, but it makes him happy, so who am I to judge? We had the perfect weather, and it was beautiful winding through the roads and seeing the colors of the trees. Too bad the led guy totalled his car halfway through the tour. Ouchie. At least he and his wife are okay.
#10. I think I'm through. I am loving the fall weather, looking forward to watching my son go trick-or-treating as the vicious dinosaur that he is, and anticipating the coming holiday season.
#11. I'll try to find time to write more often. At least attempt it.
