Not a Fun Phone Call

I got a call from my little one's preschool teacher today. He was caught with his pants down in class....literally. She looked over, and there he was with a male friend, his pants around his knees. No touching was involved--thank goodness. But what the hell? And this happens when my husband is out of town, so I am forced to have 'the talk' with the little one? Ugh.

I just keep telling myself he's proud of his new-found appendage and wants to show off. Ha!

Injury of a Clumsy Mom

There I am, running around Chuck E. Cheese with my 3 1/2 year old. He's laughing hysterically and pointing every which way. He spots the basketball hoop game, so we run ourselves over there. As I'm bending down to get another basketball to help my son earn more tickets, I am drilled with a basketball right in the chin. Only a clumsy momma like me could manage that move. Now my jaw hurts when I chew, even the morning after. I'm trying too look at the positive side--great diet! Ha!

Love

I admit I am no movie critic. I haven't studied film-making, and I don't suppose to call myself an expert. But The Notebook has to be one of THE most romantic movies ever made.

The acting. The looks on the actors faces while they're talking to each other, and even better, when they're not.

The scenery. The rain pouring down around them on the lake.

The unforgettable lines. There are so many, I shan't attempt to name them here.

Go rent the movie. Cuddle up with a loved one, or without, and think about the love you have now, or the love you once had. It'll be a beautiful experience either way. I promise.
